4）  tell的意思是“告訴、講述”，經常用動詞短語tell sb. sth. 表示“告訴某人某事”或tell sb. to do sth. 表示“告訴某人做某事”。例如：

　　Please tell your brother not to swim here.

　　請告訴你弟弟不要在這里游泳。

　　My grandmother often tells me some stories.

　　我的奶奶經常給我講故事。

　　2. or

　　or來連接兩個（或多個）并列成分。在否定句中表示“和”的時候，通常用or。此時，只在or前面的列舉項前加no或者not， 但是如果要用and連接，則and前后的列舉項都要加not 或no。例如：

　　Do you like rice, milk, apples or bananas?

　　你喜歡米飯、牛奶、蘋果或香蕉嗎？

　　I have friends, but I have no sisters or brothers.

　　= I have friends, but I have no sisters and no brothers.

　　我有朋友，但是我沒有兄弟姐妹。

　　3. be good at

　　be good at 意為“擅長……”， at是介詞，后面可以接名詞、代詞或動名詞。例如：

　　I’m good at English. 我擅長英語。

　　Tom is good at playing football. 湯姆擅長踢足球。

　　【拓展】be good at 相當于詞組do well in，在句子中常可以互換。例如：

　　She is good at Chinese. = She does well in Chinese.

　　她漢語學的好。

　　4. play

　　1）play和球類、棋類等運動項目搭配時，表示“參與運動”或“進行比賽”，此時名詞前不加任何限定性的詞。例如：

　　She can play the piano. 她會彈鋼琴。

　　I play basketball every day. 我每天都打籃球。

　　2）play與各種樂器搭配，表示“演奏；彈奏；吹奏”，此時樂器名稱前往往會加上定冠詞the。例如：

　　play the drums  敲鼓

　　play the piano  彈鋼琴

　　play the violin  拉小提琴

　　3）play還用作不及物動詞，意為“玩”。例如：

　　Let’s go to play on the playground. 我們到操場上去玩吧。

　　Don’t play with fire. 別玩火！

　　4）play用作名詞，意為“戲劇”。例如：

　　I like watching TV plays. 我喜歡看電視劇。

　　5. join

　　1）join 意為“參加，加入”，可以指加入某種社團或者組織，成為其中的成員。例如：

　　Yao Ming joined the NBA. 姚明加入了NBA。

　　2）“join + 指人的名詞或代詞”，意為“加入……之中”。例如：

　　Will you join us for lunch? 和我們一起吃午飯好嗎？

　　3）“join + in + 活動類名詞”意為“參加……（活動）。”例如：

　　Can you join in the game? 你能參加這個游戲嗎？

　　6. also＆too

　　1) also也，用在肯定句中間，位于be動詞、助動詞或情態動詞后，行為動詞前。例如：

　　We also like playing football. 我們也喜歡踢足球。

　　2) too也，用在陳述句末，常用逗號隔開。例如：

　　He has a lot of pen pals, too. 他也有很多筆友。

　　7. make

　　make是動詞, 意為“使成為，制造”。例如：

　　make cakes 制作蛋糕

　　make常見的其他用法有：

　　1）“make friends”意為“結交朋友”；“make friends with sb.”指“和……交朋友”。例如：

　　We can make friends with them. 我們可以和他們交朋友

　　2）“make sb. / sth. + adj./v.”意為“使某人……”。例如：

　　The good news makes us happy. 這個好消息使我們很高興。

　　His story made us laugh.  他的故事讓我們笑了。

　　8. paint＆draw

　　1）paint 做動詞時，意為“給……涂色”，指用顏料畫畫，如水彩畫或者水墨畫。例如：

　　Please paint the wall green. 請把墻涂成綠色。

　　2）paint 做名詞時，意為“油漆，顏料，繪畫作品”。例如：

　　The paint is very popular. 這顏料很流行。

　　3）draw通常指用鉛筆，鋼筆或者粉筆畫，一般并不涂上顏料。例如：

　　I like drawing. 我喜歡畫畫。

　　9. show

　　1）show 做名詞，意為“表演，節目，展覽”。例如：

　　a flower show花卉展覽

　　on show 展覽

　　a talent show  才藝表演

　　2）show 做動詞，意為“給……看；展示”；

　　常用結構是“show sb. sth. / show sth. to sb.”，意為“把某物展示給某人”。例如：

　　Please show me your ticket. 請出示您的票。
