promise 許諾；保證；答應

　　promise to do sth:

　　He promised to pick me up at the school gate.

　　他答應在學校門口接我。

　　promise (sb) + (that) 從句:

　　I promise I will try my best in my study.

　　我保證會在學習中盡自己最大的努力。

　　promise sb sth / promise sth to sb:

　　He promised his son a toy plane. / He promised a toy plane to his son.

　　他答應要給兒子一架玩具飛機。
